Philatelic Bureau:
The major role of the bureau is the introduction of stamps but it also carries out the sale of philatelic items to individuals, organizations, and even supplies the postage stamps to other post offices. Philatelic deposit accounts can be opened at this Bureau.
Philatelic Counter:
The Philatelic bureau has a Philatelic Sales Counter in the GPO building, Thimphu. The Counter is open from 8.30 am to 5 pm ib weekdays and from 8.30 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. A wide range of past and present stamp issues, picture postcards of the scenary, wild life, architecture of Bhutan etc are sold at the counter. Note that the stamps are sold on the face value in mint condition or cancelled to order.
